This has made me lose faith in the future.
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010KILL IT!
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010Could they at least make their press release AFTER they’re done making it look less creepy?
Clumsy Robot Sitcom
Monday, July 12th, 2010When a robot has a heart painted on its chest, big puppy dog eyes, and a voice that sounds like a child (or at least a woman pretending to be a small child)… this shouldn’t frighten Japanese housewives.
Oh Robocon!
More Whitney and the Robot
Wednesday, April 21st, 2010Whitney and the Robot
Wednesday, April 21st, 2010OH DEAR GAWD!!!! Someone finally posted a clip of “WHITNEY AND THE ROBOT” on Youtube!!! As far as I know, this was only aired on KNBC channel 4 in Los Angeles. It originally aired between 1978 and 1979 and they kept reruning it in the early 80’s. Most of my friends have no idea what I’m talking about when I try to explain to them this show.
Before I found this clip a few minutes ago, I had to settle for this pic to prove to myself that this show actually existed.

I remember the episode when they went to the dump.
The Harlem Globetrotters On Giligan’s Island
Wednesday, April 21st, 2010A fuzzy childhood memory. Not only are the Harlem Globetrotters are on Gilligan’s Island, but they’re playing against robots! None of this really makes any sense. No wonder I grew up so fucked up.
Time of Eve
Saturday, April 17th, 2010Time of Eve is one of those jewels that you find every now and then. The character development is touching. The animation is well done. The premise is deceptively simple.
It has an heir of Philip K Dick cyberpunk gnosis. Funny at times, serious at others, its everything that an Anime should be.
Plus, it was available for free… although it took several months for each 15 minute episode to come out. But not only is the entire series complete, there will be a movie that has all 6 episodes plus new footage… that will come out in selected theaters in Tokyo and Osaka…
Anyway, visit crunchyroll.com to check it out.
Superman and his Robot Pal

There are so many reasons why I find this comforting.
1) Robot
2)Crappy vintage robot which is just a guy sweating in a bunch of cardboard boxes (cardboard box robots remind me of my childhood, as I attempted to become a robot)
3) Superman
4) I grew up watching reruns of the black and white Superman. There’s no room for reruns anymore. How will the next generation learn anything about our culture… remakes?
GUNDAM!!!!!
Saturday, April 17th, 2010I wish I had the patience and sheer OCDness to do something like this.
